Doors @ ("the app") is a show and festival tracking app. This page explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and who to contact with questions. Doors @ is operated by an individual developer, not a company. This policy describes actual practice, not boilerplate.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Doors @, we collect:

• Account information: your email address, a display name, and a password. The password is stored as a one-way hash, so we never store or see your actual password.
• Show history you log: artist name, date, venue, genre tags, and whether you have marked a show as a favorite.
• Festival data: which festivals you mark as attending, your personal schedule picks, and membership in any crew or group you join or create with other users.
• Approximate location, when available: a coarse, city-level location derived from your device's network connection at the moment you log a show, used only to help pre-fill a show's location. This is not precise GPS location, and it is not collected continuously, only at the moment of that action.
• Crash and diagnostic data: if the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, technical details (device model, OS version, and the error itself) are collected to help us find and fix problems. See Third-Party Services below for exactly what's sent and to whom.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the app's own features: building your personal show history, powering festival planning and crew coordination, and generating your year-end recap and poster. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.

Third-Party Services

Doors @ sends data to a small number of third-party services, each limited to what a specific feature actually needs. None of them are used for advertising, and none see more than what's described below:

• Last.fm: when you log a show, the artist name you typed is sent to Last.fm's public API to suggest a spelling correction and genre tags.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): when reviewing a logged show, the venue name you typed can be sent to OpenStreetMap's geocoding service to look up the venue's city.
• ipwho.is: your device's IP address is sent to ipwho.is to resolve an approximate, city-level location, used to bias venue lookups toward where you actually are. Never your precise GPS location, and nothing beyond the IP address itself.
• Resend: if you use "Forgot password," your email address and a one-time reset code are sent to Resend so it can deliver that email to you. Resend never receives your password or any of your logged show data.
• Sentry: if the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, technical details (device model, OS version, and the error itself) are sent to Sentry to help us find and fix the problem. Sentry never receives your email, password, or logged show data — nothing sent to it is linked back to your account.

Data Storage and Security

Doors @ is self-hosted on infrastructure operated directly by the developer, not a large third-party cloud platform. Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt), never in plain text. All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. If a login or session check fails or times out, technical details (such as the error type and timing) are logged to your browser's or device's own developer console to help diagnose problems, and that log stays on your device. Separately, if the app crashes or hits an unexpected error more broadly, technical details are sent to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, with no personal information attached — see Third-Party Services above for exactly what that includes.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account directly from the app (Account, from the Log tab, then Delete Account) after confirming your password. This is immediate and permanent: it removes your logged shows, festival attendance, crew memberships, and any crews you created, along with your account itself. You can also email us at the address below and we will take care of it for you.

Children's Privacy

Doors @ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
